License for OBDStar ECU Master

Product detailed description

This license allows you to activate or expand the functions of the OBDStar ECU Master device according to the selected variant (A, B, C, D, or any combination). The range of supported vehicles, control units, and functions depends on the selected license option. To activate the device, you must purchase or own a compatible OBDStar ECU Master device.

Available Options

• Option A – Passenger Cars: programming and cloning of ECUs for passenger cars and electric vehicles
• Option B – Motorcycles: reading, writing, and cloning of motorcycle engine control units
• Option C – Trucks: programming and cloning of control units for trucks, buses, and work machines
• Option D – Airbag: restoration of supported SRS and airbag units after an accident

Option A – Passenger Cars

Option A  is designed for programming control units in passenger cars and select electric vehicles. It supports work with ECM (engine control module), TCM (transmission control module), and BCM (body control module) units, as well as BMS (battery management system) and VCU (vehicle control unit) units in compatible electric vehicles.

Option B – Motorcycles

Option B is designed for working with motorcycle engine control units. Supported applications include select units from Harley-Davidson, Honda, CFMOTO, Kawasaki, and other manufacturers listed in the current coverage list.

Option C – Trucks

Option C is designed for control units in trucks, buses, agricultural machinery, and other heavy equipment. It supports selected ECM, TCM, and BCM units from Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Scania, MAN, Iveco, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, Ford, John Deere, Kubota, Yanmar, and other manufacturers.

Option D – Airbag

Option D is designed for specialists who repair SRS and airbag units. For supported modules, it allows you to read the necessary data, delete stored crash records, and reset the unit after the restraint system has been activated.

• Reading and backing up data from supported SRS and airbag units
• Deleting stored crash data after an accident
• Writing corrected data back to the control unit
• Restoration and repair of supported airbag modules
• Reading and writing EEPROM, Flash, or DFlash memories depending on the unit type
• Work procedures and information needed for proper unit connection
• Warnings regarding incorrect work procedures

The availability of the Crash Reset function depends on the specific manufacturer, airbag unit model, processor used, and current software version. Before beginning repairs, we recommend verifying the module in the current list of supported units.
